I am Mavis A. Bates, L.Ac. (Licensed Acupuncturist) and I founded Inner Harmony in Aurora, Illinois, in one of our beautiful historic districts. I treat all kinds of patients for all kinds of illnesses, with special emphasis on treating pain and on helping with the special problems of women’s’ health, including infertility.

I received my MSTOM, Masters of Science, Traditional Oriental Medicine, from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. This intensive four-year program included almost 3000 hours of class work and clinical training, including evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients. I am Board Certified by the NCCAOM (National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). My training and experience include an understanding of Western Medicine, as well, so I can understand your doctor’s diagnosis and work with your Medical Doctor to integrate the benefits of both Eastern and Western approaches.
I also hold a Doctor of Naturopathy from Clayton School of Natural Healing. This includes western herbs, essential oils, and nutrition.
